Remembering our soldiers

St. Philip's Episcopal Church will be ringing its bells the first Sunday of each month in memory of our military men and women who were killed in the line of duty the previous month.

St. Philip's is joining with St. Giles Episcopal Church in Jefferson for this monthly remembrance which was started by Arlene VanDeventer and is continued by her husband, George, since her death earlier this year.

St. Philip's first memorial bell ringing will be Sunday, July 6. The people of St. Philip's ask that everyone in the community take a moment to stop and remember those who have made the greatest sacrifice.
